# basset org

> Choose which organization commands act in

Every command works inside one organization. Signing in picks it automatically when the account has exactly one; with more than one, choose here and it holds until you choose again. `--org` on any command overrides the choice for that command without changing it.

## list

The default when `org` is run with no subcommand. Lists the organizations this account belongs to.

basset org list
```

## select

```bash theme={"dark"}
basset org select <slug>
```

| `<slug>` | The organization slug. |

The choice is written to your settings file, which [basset config](/cli/config) prints.
