# session.configuration

> What each URLSession is permitted to do, which its requests never say

Rides the same swizzled `URLSession` factory
[`network.urlSession.taskMetrics`](/instruments/network/url-session-task-metrics)
installs — a reading each time a session is seen, describing what it's
allowed to do rather than what it did.
